cabin 6056

I have never been on Azamara but have booked ? cabin 6056, Would any of you that have stayed in that cabin please give me the pros and cons.

Which ship? On Quest it's an accessible Club Continent Suite and on Journey it's a V2 balcony cabin.

We have had some experience of 6056 on Quest, both as the original accessible cabin and as the updated accessible suite cabin.

My partner has 4 lower limb prostheses and we both found the extra room was most welcome, but more importantly the bathroom was a great help. It was spacious, obviously to accommodate a wheelchair, with a wheel-in shower area where there WAS a shower curtain but it was too far away to cling! There were extra grab rails by the shower and toilet, wonderful for drying smalls when not needed for their 'grabbing' purpose. The toilet is slightly higher than normal, wonderful for someone with prostheses.

This actually raises the question of whether one or 2 accessible public toilets could be installed as it is not always easy to get back to your stateroom to use the toilet.

Like the cabin, the balcony is wider, but is equipped in the same way as other balconies, and there is a ramp across the lip of the doorway for wheelchairs.

There are certainly two that I can think of off the top of my head. One is located on deck 9 starboard side forward outside the elevators and the other is deck 4 portside aft, again outside the elevators.

6056 on Journey is a standard balcony cabin.

We stayed in it on a transatlantic cruise and it was fine.

It's at the top of the staircase just up from mosaics cafe .

We found it a good location with easy access to the restaurants.

You will sometimes have people standing outside the lift but it did not bother us.

Would certainly book it again.
