We've (DW and I) done a few cruises but never a T/A. It's also our first time on Azamara. I know there are trivia games, and guest lecturers, and lots of sea days. What do you do on the T/A's to keep yourselves occupied?

TIA for your thoughts.

Listen to a Guest lecturer.

There were 2 on our TA on Quest in September.

For some reason the Guest Lecturers on the upcoming Eastbound on Quest are a specialist in Italy and Russia (neither country figuring on this itinerary) and the Panama Canal. I can't quite understand Azamara booking speakers who would appear to be on the wrong sailings.

Perhaps they will be lecturing on completely different subjects to their specialties.

Professor..we are on that cruise with you! Here is how we spend our days as we love the sea days and have done quite a number of T/As and T/Ps for that reason!! ...we too enjoy the guest speakers...usually there are 2 as mentioned...the last couple of T/As on AZ we had some super ones..with packed houses each time! There should be fellow passengers who play bridge..if you are into that...or other card games..also people get together to play Mah Jongg etc. Progressive Trivia is really fun...a little different as you have the same team each day and the points you earn grow (hopefully!!) each day..and the CDs always make it fun! Happy Hour in the Living Room is always a great time to visit with fellow guests and make new friends (or see old ones). Sometimes there are movies shown during the day...and then there are the evening shows and entertainment..and a casino if you gamble. And of course breakfast, lunch and dinner!!! ;p For me the days just fly by and I never seem to have enough time to do it all...and then of course as mentioned there is plenty of time to read, relax, nap or "spa" if you like. Hoping that you enjoy it as much as we do!!! LuAnn

We've enjoyed 4 TAs on AZ, including one from Barcelona to Miami in November, 2015. The highlight for us was the opportunity to meet and spend time with so many lovely passengers. We spent a lot of time hanging in the Mosaic and Living Room and had many conversations. Dancing in the Living Room after dinner and after the shows. Spent an incredible amount of time in the terrific fitness center. But I do recommend that you bring some hobbies and be creative.

There are LOTS of activities detailed in the daily paper for sea days. It just depends upon what you like doing. Trivia (questions and visual), lectures, dance classes, iPad classes, darts, ping pong, unhosted and hosted bridge etc. Or settle down with a good book on deck or in the library. No rock climbing. They didn't put a wall in. I miss that:D

I enjoy reading. The library has some good books although if you cruise quite often with them it is not easy to find new ones. Maybe Azamara can have a look at this? It would be good to have more destination related books, not only travel advisors but novels or historical novels. I prefer a real book than an electronic one...Different feeling...

I also enjoy writting my impressions about the things I am learning either by reading or visiting ports. I like to share my toughts and impressions with family and friends. Somehow with the free time on sea days, writing has become one of my favorite activities on cruise ships.

Enjoy your cruise and do whatever you think is something you will like to do. You might realize that the time was not enough...
