This an episode of an American TV series from the late 1970s. The Title of this show is Project U.F.O. and it is about U.S. Air Force Officers who interview and investigate people who claim to have seen UFOs and aliens. The U.S. Air Force in real life did really actually do this from 1947 to 1969 and these investigations were known as Project Blue Book. In this episode of Project U.F.O. there is an fictional Ocean Liner named Atlantic Queen it is 4:00 AM and the ship is about 2 days from docking in New York. On the Bridge the Deck Officer does see the UFO and also the comedian who is aboard the ship doing his stand up comedy also sees the UFO and an alien who leaves the UFO goes aboard the ship in front of the comedian and the alien then opens a door and goes inside the ship and the comedian has a stunned look on his face. This episode was filmed aboard the Queen May in Long Beach, it does have its funny moments. Since this is the month of October when Halloween is celebrated, did anyone here ever see weird or unexplained things aboard ship and or if you have the time to watch this episode it is 48 minutes long your opinion of this episode and here's the link

On my QE2 World Cruise I did see many a strange character but none of the super natural kind. My favorite was one I christened "Nightshade" She regularly sailed between NYC and LA on the various Panama Transits and more than recovered her cabin fare.

No but she did wear 1950's style cocktail dresses at 10 in the morning. Had a very easy routine. Never pushy or obvious and all perfectly legal as there was never a fee but tips were accepted.

On my trip I took on the QM2 to Hawaii, I spent one evening and early into the morning in the Casino winning and loosing of course. Then when I was tired I decided to walk the long way to my cabin. I remember how quiet it was that evening. As I approached an elevator one of the staff was vacuuming an area of the ceiling. I thought I had taken a few too many cocktails. He was reaching up and using the vacuum that was a stand up vacuum not a vacuum with a hose to vacuum the ceiling. Quite strange. Not an Alien story but strange enough.

Oh ok, this thread has a paranormal theme...but will mention a strange occurrence by a passenger. I was out on my balcony on deck 10 on QM2 when the passenger in the cabin next to me comes out and tosses a book overboard. Many questions were rushing through my head, was his favorite character killed off? was the booking poorly written to the point it frustrated him? Has he done this before? The book elegantly fluttered and floated like a bird till it hit the churning seas below.

It was ***** the QV in 2009, when I stayed up late to lose even more money.

When I eventually went up to my room, and as I was walking along the corridor, I met a very confused elderly lady wearing silk pyjamas.

She told me that she had left her room (for some reason) and not taken her keycard, and now she couldn't remember which was her room.

I escorted her down to the purser's desk and there explained the situation.

The purser was quickly able to establish her identity and room number and issued a new card. She told me that she would send for security to help the lady back to her room. Instead, I offered to take her back as I had brought her down, so she okayed that.

When we got back to the room, I opened the door and ushered her in. The little old lady then turned to walk back out and said "I'm sure I took my walking stick with me....."

"Ah, we'll get it back in the morning"

Since this thread is discussing the weird things seen aboard the Cunard Queens, Here is a 6 minute and 33 second youtube video that whoever made this youtube video discusses the many alleged ghost sightings seen aboard the original Queen Mary in Long Beach and this youtube video is also filmed aboard the original Queen Mary. The audio in this video does also have creepy scary music  Here is the link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fAFoT4UefDk Regards,Jerry

I have taken the Haunted Ship Tour on Queen Mary. It was great. They do it after dark and take you to all these areas on the ship. I do have to say the 1st class pool is creepy as is the area where they have removed the boilers. Very Dark places and enough weirdness to make the hair on the back of your neck stand on end. I think the Historical information they share is great on this tour. Like the fact they originally made Queen Mary without hand rails thinking she would not need them as she was so large and stable and later added plastic handrails which was considered quite sophisticated back then.

Sitting at dinner one night (late sitting) and mid-atlantic the entire ship shuddered as if it had been hit by a giant hand, up until that moment three days in to the crossing it was hard to believe you were even on a ship because there was so little movement. The rest of the voyage was completely smooth.

I looked around for the startled expressions and no one reacted, not even in the slightest. It always struck me as odd due to the severity of the impact.

Was there an explanation as to what caused to ship to shudder? Regards,Jerry

Lucky thing it fluttered out to sea rather than injuring a passenger or crew member.

No one mentioned it and there was no announcement, to be honest it was my "Twilight Zone" moment because the impact was so severe and everyone just carried on talking. It felt as if we had hit something and the entire ship shuddered, and not even the slightest tremor for the rest of the 8 day crossing. As I say, just one of those strange moments.

I assumed we had quartered into an unusually large wave and true to her design QM2 had simply smashed through it.

Mercifully it was not a repeat of the incident involving the original Queen Mary in December 1942 when she encountered a rogue wave 92 feet in height that so very nearly took her under.

In a previous career I worked as a Flight Attendant/Air Hostess. We stayed on board the Queen Mary as she was docked in Long Beach. We would leave in the early hours of the morning before anyone else was up. Many stories of ghostly apparitions from fellow crew. It was a little creepy walking down the passageways in such solitude. I loved taking baths in the bathtubs. They were very long and still had the hot/cold salt water and hot/cold fresh water controls. The staterooms were still beautiful. Such lovely woodwork and real vintage linoleum. Definitely lots of ghosties.
