Divina 12002 - What have I done??????

So, only date available to cruise is spring break April 2018. I did a lot of research, and read about the amazing yacht club, and the prices seemed great. So, booked the ONE remaining YC2. 12002.

And, now I am reading more information on it -

- Butler service not that good because this is on another floor

- 12002 smaller than the rest

And, I am freaking out. DH is not that big on cruising, and the last one we did was with Celebrity for Alaska in their Sky suite - I talked him into this one.

Honestly, now it is too late for me to do anything. The deposit is already paid. Is it really that bad? Please help me get over this, otherwise it will be a long 9 months of regretting this expensive vacation.

It is still 480 sq. ft., much bigger than a YC1 :- 280 sq. ft. but is smaller than the other two YC 2 cabins (12001: 12004) :- 570 sq. ft. which are bigger than the YC3 (Royal suite ) 560 sq. ft.

The YC2s have no balcony but panoramic windows instead

I wouldn't be worried about the size , just the lack of a balcony is a concern to some. However the views forward should be great

I can't comment about the perception that the butler service is not so good

Even if you can't switch cabins, there are so many other benefits in the Yacht Club to take advantage of. The 1 Pool, the Top Sail Lounge, and of course theLeMuse restaurant. You also get free drinks in the YC area, and in the mini bar in your room. The butler is always on call, no matter where you are, and they assist the room attendant.

I can't tell you anything about the experience at the moment, but would be happy to report back when we return from the 5/28 sailing in a YC2. We are in 12004 and even though we've never sailed without a balcony and are on the 12th floor, we are expecting to have a great time! Will report and review comparing this experience with our past NCL Haven and HAL Neptune and Pinnacle suite cruises.

Are you sure it's 2018

I can't get the UK site or the USA site to go beyond Mar 2018 and that includes online booking and virtual brochures.

If it's MSC Divina then it has to be 2017 Pete,,,MSC Divina will be returning back to the MED in April 2018 which only leaves MSC Seaside in Miami,,,

What you have done is book one of the best cruise experiences you will have. Just enjoy it and stop reading too much into other people's opinions or reviews. You make it what you will. You will have a ball, trust me.

Well, whether you mean 2017 or 2018, either way, you can still cancel and get all your money back. Not sure what you mean by "it is too late". My biggest concern on a spring break cruise with MSC is that since kids sail free, the ship will be overrun with kids. If that is the only time you can go, I suppose you are used to dealing with a lot of kids on vacation. And, the idea that your butler service will be less is what I would call a first world problem.

Did the Easter Cruise this past year in Divina, and the reaction of everyone poolside when the kids came out and did a parade near the end of the cruise was - " Where the Heck did they hide all these kids for the whole week?" I was amazed, I also assumed due to the kids sail free promo, that it would be overrun with kids, not in the slightest !! There are so many areas for kids to hang out that they are barely noticeable, and I had my 15 year old with me, and when she wasn't with us at dinner, I rarely ran across her. Amazing Ship.

We were on Divina in March IN the Yacht Club - we barely needed the butler but he did try to do things for us anytime he saw us. I tipped him and he insisted on personally escorting us off the ship when we disembarked (we did early self-disembarkation) and he toted our luggage and took us through back passageways. The thing is, there is so much available in the lounge between the 24x7 food and included drinks, the afternoon tea, the live music - we just hung out there all the time and then there is the Yacht Club pool and 2 hot tubs and another bar and buffet up there - another hang out and then for meals, we hit Le Muse (Divina) - WOW what great food and service. All I've got to say about the whole experience is that it was a BETTER experience than in any suite on any other cruise line we have experienced. No wonder so many people in the Yacht Club had been on the ship 8 or 9 times so far! And the shows! OMG! I won't even go into how great those were - so professional! And the NON-SMOKING CASINO! The whole thing was absolutely fantastic! This is our new favorite cruise line! We are spoilt for life! As to being in the Yacht Club - switch to one of those cabins if you can, but if you can't, don't worry about it - just go to the Yacht club and enjoy all they have to offer as it is off-the-chain fantastic!
