This review will be about the ship, services, food, entertainment and my personal experiences. I also had another thread where I fielded questions and so will touch on those at the top.

Beers. Most were $5. A few were $6 (these are excluded from the more for less pass). A bucket of 4 is $17. They do have 7oz Heineken draft for 2.90. I did see them wheeling carts of beer through the buffet and pool deck time to time offering 20% off. Will try

I did not find any 2 for 1 happy hour and I did try! There is a cigar lounge in the ship and you can smoke on one side of pool deck, one side outdoors on deck 7, and I believe one section aft on 16. No smoking in casino.

Thermal area of spa does NOT have heated loungers, just plain loungers with window view. Men's and women's facilities. One steam and two saunas per sex each with own showers. Body wash and shampoo in spa are same as stateroom

Continuing with questions asked. There was white sugar, sugar in the raw, equal, sweet and low. Not sure if there was Splenda.

Tap water at tables free and poured regularly.

No charge for regular coffee. I rather liked their coffee.

There was in fact hot chocolate in canisters ready to pour at breakfast time, just no packets of mix.

Maybe 8 different kinds of tea bags

Nestlé Vitality drink machines with OJ and Cranberry in morning, iced tea, lemonade, strawberry mango, kiwi afternoons, dinner, and nighttime all free.

The Black Crab dining room is open daily for breakfast and lunch. Never went for breakfast as intended but did go to lunch once. Fairly extensive fixed menu with rotating daily specials.

The specialty restaurants included with black card are Eataly Italian Steakhouse and Galaxy Disco Restaurant. Both offer a fixed 5 course menu. Even though we had 2 dinner certificates we only used one and went to Eatalay. See attached photo for fixed menu. The food was very good. Not excellent. Not bad. But very good. Nice Black card perk. Restaurant lacks atmosphere though. Asked for tap water and was told they don't serve water there (huh???). Wife needed to take pills with food so went to an adjacent bar for water. That was really strange.which is a nice way of saying stupid. Oh yeah each person gets their own plate. No need to share any of the course dffe97bb9ab6375a15da4c2bc66819ec.jpg

Yes there were art auctions with free champagne. It is NOT Park West. It was a south Florida based company. No buyers premiums or other fees. You could walk off with the art you bid on or pay extra to ship it.

You can get pizza for free from about 11am or noon until 2am. Constantly being made fresh. Always have plain and pepperoni but also always 3 to 4 other varieties that change each day. White pizza. Pizza w veggies, pizza with olives and prosciutto, pizza w ham and pineapple, lots of variety. To me the pizza was excellent. No need to pay for pizza at the wine bar or in Eatalay. I only heard positive reviews of the pizza from others. It was never sweet, never had cheese fall off, mentioning pizza Hut in the same breath is asinine. Oh yes there was a breakfast pizza w fried egg and spinach too

Wow thank you for all the great information!!! :)

Quick question: at breakfast buffet did you notice if the mini boxes of cereal were offered?

I booked this cruise for a few reasons.

1. It went to Bermuda from Florida roundtrip.

2. It was a work friendly schedule. 7 or 8 days works best for me.

3. Kids sail free

4. Very low overall pricing

5. Status match to other lines. Not really a reason to book but it was nice to have some benefits and also 5% off.

6. Ability to purchase drink vouchers without a full blown package

The cereal was in hoppers where you turned the handle to dispense into a bowl. I don't recall seeing single serve boxes.

My opinion of the breakfast buffet was it was very good quality and far superior in variety to other mass market lines like NCL, Royal, Carnival.

Embarkation was relatively easy. We arrived at Port of Miami at 12 noon. Took about 20 minutes to get through a few security checkpoints. After security we were brought to a black card line with NO wait to check in.

We were onboard by 1240pm. Blew right past embarkation photo. In retrospect we should have gotten it as I think that photo was a free black card perk.

You do not register a credit card or get drink vouchers at check in. Both are done on board. Lining up to do a credit card was mildly annoying bc it is only 2016 and many people just can't swipe a card and press 2 buttons and sign at the self serve kiosks. Come on people get with it. Better yet, MSC take the card at check in.

Drink vouchers were quick and easy to get at casino bar no problemo.

Embarkation lunch at the buffet. Yes it is busy there like most cruises. But no long lines. Lots of areas and sections. Some repeat. Some do not. There are handy maps on stands. It is worth doing a full lap otherwise you will miss stuff. The Mediterranean Corner cold cuts and cheeses were excellent. Prosciutto, speck, ham, salami, Mozzarella, brie, ricotta, variety of hard cheeses with fruit and preserves. There is an ethnic corner that changed daily(indian, chinese, Jamaican etc..). Yes it is true, kids corner is the place to find popcorn shrimp and other days coconut shrimp.

Variety of premade sandwiches and burgers. The burgers are really good. Not quite as good as specialty restaurant but way superior to your standard Royal/Carnival/NCL offerings. Close to as good as Princess. 3 different kinds of fries (shoestring, curly, and Nathan style crinkle cut) 5 varieties of awesome pizza. Nice salad bar and in between the two salad bars they are fresh slicing fruits and veggies. Nice touch.

In addition there are numerous stations with rotating daily hot food specials. Deserts are small and / or preplated but good quality and usually 5 to 7 different types.

This isn't even touching breakfast, dinner, or late night snacks.

If Royal Caribbean had buffets this good people would rave....

After lunch we went to find our room. A large interior on deck 10. Fantastica Experience. Dark wood cabinets. Dark red/brown/gold color scheme. Wall behind bed was 90% covered in mirror made room feel bigger. Classy looking. Two hanging closets with lots of hangers. One closet all shelves. Another closet with 4 digit code safe and the rest all drawers. Desk area had Samsung Interactive TV (check account, room service, messages, other ship services) two drawers. Two standard US outlets. Two sewing kits. Hair dryer. Mini bar refrigerator. Ottoman style seat for desk. Ice bucket always fully stocked. Glasses on counter top too.

Pool towels are waiting in the room. Since we had the black card there was a fruit plate, robes, slippers waiting for us.

Nightstands had 2 drawers and each had a lamp. Pen, notepad, envelopes.

Bathroom had glass doors for shower that swung in to create more bathroom space and swung out for exiting shower. Bathroom immaculately spotless. Body wash and shampoo same type provided in the spa. Shower caps, actual soft toilet paper, tissues, extra glasses.

Everything in our room worked 100% and no signs of any wear and tear. AC kept the room freezing and we never turned it all the way down.

Plenty of room for our babies full size pack and play. We had a coffee table but no other chair, not sure if they removed it for the pack and play (would not have been room for both) or if there is not one to begin with.

Despite being Fantastica with free room service breakfast we never used the service but plenty of hang cards provided.

Room was silent. Never heard anything. We were way aft right near the very large public exterior balconies on both sides of each deck from 6 to 15.

Would definitely book this room type / location again.

Thanks for all the great info! Some are reporting that they got a 12 drink package with their Fantastica experience. Did you get this?

I believe that is a new promo being offered on future bookings. You can still add additional vouchers on top if you wish

Your info is super helpful- thanks~:) With the drink coupons what cocktails were included?

I will have to go through my photos to see if I have photos of bar menus but most cocktails are included and any given menu will have an asterisk next to drinks excluded. I ordered long island iced tea, grasshopper, various mojitos, a bunch of different sweet frozen drinks. Plenty included. Almost all cocktails are priced 7.75 or less so you are good to go as long as you don't want top top shelf. Th vouchers do get plenty of name brand stuff though.

Thanks so much for your great and informative review. How was Bermuda and how was the weather for the 7 days? Thanks!!!!!!!

We sailed into a stiff headwind going to Bermuda making apparent winds across deck 45 knots and temps were upper 60s to low 70s. They moved a bunch of events from the pool to indoors and added more things like daytime movies in the Pantheon theater. Seas were enough to feel you were on a ship but not rough and Sky's blue and sunny.

Bermuda had strong winds and clear Sky's for our Monday evening arrival, iffy weather the morning of our full day there but cleared up late in the day, the morning of Wednesday was postcard gorgeous. I will be posting photos. I do have some qualms about a call so early in the Bermuda tourist season and the 3 day but really one day and a morning of this itinerary I will be touching on.

Glad people are enjoying the review and getting useful info. My laptop died so typing this on a tablet is slowing me down a bit [emoji16]
