Southampton to Heathrow?

We've had "not great" experiences with bus transfers run by cruise lines to Heathrow. We're thinking of maybe using a van service: https://www.internationalfriends.co....al-london.html

Anyone find any "easier" options (without having to initially transfer from ship to a bus station, before the long ride to Heathrow?)

We've had good experience with Smith's as well. I would use them again, and probably will on November 1 when we arrive in Southampton on QM2 and have to get to Heathrow.

We used International Friends for departure in Southampton from Quest just this July. We were very pleased with them. We took the tour option which included Salisbury, Stonehenge and Windsor. The bus was waiting just with all the other ships buses just outside the terminal doors and was right on time. The ship's luggage transfer was not and we were all delayed. My one negative would be Azamara not the tour company as the tour company was notified that our baggage would be delayed due to low tides and we, the passengers, were not! So check the tour company website before disembarkation because they had the information first and posted it on their web. In spite of the delayed departure from the written schedule, we were all sorted to our departure destinations and everything on time.

I know this is an Azamara board, but just the same. We once used Cunard's bus to take us to St. Pancras Station in London. We did this because we had so much leftover OBC, so the bus fare seemed to be "free." Did not love it so much. There were delays in getting us all off the ship, delays in loading the bus, and delays in the bus' departure as the driver kept re-checking to make sure all expected passengers were on board; they were not as there was one straggler who took a very long time to make her way to the bus. As a result, we got to St. Pancras with little time to spare before our Eurostar departure, and no time for a leisurely lunch. After that, we have used "Smith's" to hire a car to get us to Heathrow or into town. We will do it again. The extra cost is worth it for the time saved and to avoid waits to herd all the passengers onto the motor coaches.

Just a quick comment, there was no need to go to any station for the International Friends. Their bus was right outside the terminal doors with all the other personal transfer cars and ship buses. No farther to go. Not sure if the other posters understood that. There was an attendant with a sign waiting outside the door to direct you to the coach. We took advantage of the day to take in more sights by taking a tour and it was well organized.
