Who uses the dispenser shampoo?

I've read lots of negative reports about the shower recess shampoo, so would like to know your honest opinion if you have used it and would continue to do so. Keen to hear from both ladies and gents.

Also, would you risk trialing it rather than packing your own?

I Hate the shampoo because there is no conditioner and I can't untangle my hair. Bringing own conditioner solves it though.

I use it, but I sport a super short pixie cut. I wouldn't want to use it every day for the rest of my life, but it does the job while I'm on the ship and it is one thing less to pack.

No problem using the shampoo but I also bring my own conditioner.

I buy travel containers and fill with my usual conditioner.

I use it about half the time I shampoo my hair and use my good shampoo and conditioner the other half. It is not a good conditioner but, it works OK for me.(I am a female with shoulder length hair) I try to pack as light as I can with only one carry on so I need to conserve space as much as I possible.

It is really awful for women's hair. My husband uses it, but he is not picky. If your hair is colored or processed in any way - bring your own.

I bring my own bars of soap, but find that the shampoo does a good job for the little hair that I have.

We both use it. No issue.

But, we only do carry on so packing our own shampoo would be a waste of space and weight.

Works fine for me but just about any shampoo is good enough for me. I also don't like conditioner so that's a plus. (Man with full but normal length hair.)

The dispenser shampoo combo leaves my fine hair a tangled mess! At least bring some conditioner with you.

I use it some of the time - I usually pack a small bottle or each and throw them away when we leave - more room in the luggage coming home. It isn't too bad but I think it depends on your hair type

I use it to wash out socks in the sink.

I have no problem with the shampoo on ship but bring travel sized conditioner. I wouldn't buy the stuff myself but it is fine for a couple of weeks.

Actually I love it, my hair thrives, Mrs Gut hates it.

But then we use different shampoo at home too.

Thanks for all your replies. I have packed a small tube of conditioner. I'll post back here and let you know after our cruises.

I forgot my conditioner last time. Ended up paying $8 for a bottle in St. Marten as I could not handle another day. Even with only 2 sea days left.

After boarding and heading to the cabin I noticed the half used soap from the prior passengers sitting on top of the pump dispenser. The top/pump was off the bottle and there were pubic hairs hanging out of the dispenser bottle.

We knew from trying this so called shampoo/conditioner in the past on other Princess cruises that it was worthless so we would not have used it anyway.

Totally disgusting.

I don't find any problem using them. My DW brings her own though.

My wife brings her own shampoo and conditioner. I bring my own shampoo. The shampoo in the dispenser dries out my hair and skin. For showers we also don’t use the dispenser shower soap. We use the small bars provided for the sink and the room steward brings us extras.

At least I did not find a Baby Ruth.

My husband and kids (boys) have used it in the past. It doesn't bother then for a 10-15 day cruise. Last cruise my husband took his own Shampoo. I think he just prefers his own too.

I don't because I color my hair and use special shampoos and conditioners for it
