Hi All,

i am under the gun and have to book today so need everyones help to decide. First off i have sailed with both of these cruise lines and in my opinion i was not impressed with Carnival but all that said the scenario is as below:

We are 6 people sailing 4 will be in 1 room and 2 in another the offers from the Cruise company's are as follows:

1. NCL 7 day on the Pearl August 7 from Seattle: 1 mini suite and 1 interior total cost $9k

2. Carnival 7 day on the Legend August 9 from Seattle: 1 balcony and 1 interior with french door & obstructed view total cost $7.7k

Besides the above NCL has some free stuff to choose from such as unlimited beverage pacakge (HAVE TO PAY $100/ PER PERSON PERSON PER ROOM SO NOT FREE AS THEY SAY) , free specialty dining, shore excursion credit, internet.

HELP ME DECIDE PLEASE!!!!!!

Have you considered Celebrity for Alaska?

Solstice does the rt from Seattle plus free beverage package and other perks.

Yes i did and wanted to go on Celebrity but the dates don't work for me.

An Alaska cruise needs to be selected based on if it is cruising Glacier Bay or not - especially if this will be a once in a lifetime cruise as Glacier Bay is so very special. If at all possible, also do a land extension in Alaska either before or after the cruise to Denali.

Be certain to make your specialty restaurant reservations online prior to your cruise. Le Bistro is the best restaurant onboard, Teppanyaki is small and sells out quickly, so definitely get reservations if you want to dine there. Cagney's and Moderno are also good (if you like meat.) Have a wonderful cruise. Glacier Bay is something to behold!
