1st time on Costa

Just back from our 1st Costa cruise and whilst not a trip report just a few points that might be helpful to others. Cruise was 7 nights from Dubai on 23rd December.

1. Contrary to what our tickets said "boarding 8.00pm", we could have boarded from 3.00pm with cabins available from 6.00pm, we weren't informed of this until after boarding at 8.00pm.

2. 1st sitting time in the restaurant was 6.45 & 2nd sitting 8.45 all but one night. Both were half an hour later one night.

3. Alternative dinner was available every night in the buffet restaurant, usually for around 2 hours.

4. Piu Gusto drinks package was good value if you plan on having 4 or more drinks a day. Only beer included though was draft which was Carlsberg.

5. We didn't leave Muscat until 18.00 rather than the 14.00 on the cruise documents.
