Shareholder Benefit

My husband has 200 Carnival shares and has previously been able to claim shareholder benefit.

If we book a cruise and stay deal through a cruise agent, or book a cruise on a guarantee basis, would we still be entitled to claim shareholder benefit as long as the request for it can be made the required time before sailing (six weeks I think)?

You are entitled to the benefit on any cruise line the Carnival owns. You just submit the information to the appropriate cruise with a copy of the appropriate paperwork.

Here is a link to the info

Thanks, he has claimed the benefit a few times so we know the mechanics, but it was the fare type we were wondering about as the Carnival Corporation Website says it is not available for anyone on reduced fare, (we have booked early in the past).

I have posted the same question on the P&O section and people think fare type does not matter - it might just be the exceptionally good deals that agents get for their own travels that are excluded.

Worth trying a cheapie then, the extra OBC is an added bonus.

If your on a casino rate or complementary cruise . You probably can't get the Share Holder OBC .

I booked on the USA site and have been trying to send it to their Florida office.

That fax number should work. Since I was boarding Deliziosa in Pt Everglades yesterday, I stopped off at the Costa office and talked to the OBC person. She said that if there are any issues the ship would send an email to her, so take a copy of everything with you. Apparently a snail mail letter I sent from Canada took a month to get there.

One time they never applied my Stockholders credit. My travel agent had them send me a check. Now I always bring proof on board.
