We arrive in Dubai at midnight. If the Dubai airport is so crowded, is it worth it to hire a meet and greet company to escort you through a VIP immigration line? Has anyone done this?

Also, would it be better to arrange for hotel car service rather than looking for taxis at the airport?

Thanks for your help.

The Marhaba service is a gem. Sped through by being diverted to a private immigration line. Bronze service all you need for like $30 pp. Worth every penny.

We got a taxi from the rank. No problem whatsoever. Just make sure you have some cash by getting money from the ATM machine that is in the hallway between customs and the taxi rank.

Thx you or you help. We will take your advice.

You are welcome. Re the taxi, just make sure you go to the rank and not respond to a tout.

Taxis in Dubai reportedly are quite safe and honest. We had no problem with the one we used.

spot on advise.

Whilst DXB airport is world class, the arrival lines can be a nightmare. You will ALWAYS be in the slowest moving line with some fool up front not having the correct paperwork...

The "Marhaba Service" by DNATA is worth every dirham, especially if you don't know her way around the airport.

Hotel car service is NOT necessary.

As mentioned, all the taxis are metered, clean and safe and the drivers will know just about every hotel.

The entrance to the taxis is well sign posted. Any lines generally move quickly and it is all very well organized. If it is very busy, there will also be a dispatcher on duty who moves tings along nicely.

Have AED cash available for the taxi! ATMs are located in the arrivals hall (after customs). There are also money changers.
