NCL Luggage Tags

Where are people finding the link to print their luggage tags?

 

We're only 21 days from the cruise, are in a non-Haven suite on the Sky but haven't received a pre-cruise letter or luggage tags or anything. I'd like to be able to print a set of luggage tags if they don't arrive in the mail, in order to avoid messing around with it at the pier.

 

I do not believe that they will arrive in the mail (old school - unfortunately it is not like it used to be).

Log into NCL.com to print them.

i bought the ones from this website but lost one when i got home apparently. for my trip next week my friend just used the tiny tag holder that came on her suitcase as a 'base'

 

then just used the clear tape to criss cross over the wording so even if it pours (yes your luggage just sits on the dock), wont be any issues.

It's been years since I cruised with NCL and I've read that the luggage tags may be easily torn or may fall off the luggage. Some passengers have purchased tags to place the luggage tags in.

 

Has anything changed recently? Can any tell me if it's necessary?

You can always get luggage tags from the porters at the pier. Much easier than printing your own, and they don't fall off.

i was always just curious..also what do you do, just walk up and say i need tags

I do recommend printing a good sturdy one - either purchasing or laminating yours. My brother's own ripped off his bag and we were worried that his stuff didn't make it on the ship. He just had to go down to the lost luggage area and search for his bag.

I print out extras and put one on each suitcase handle (horizontal and vertical Handles). we usually arrive a day or two early and I always forget the mini stapler or I run out of staples. Two years ago, the hotel we were at pre-cruise would not loan me a stapler -- I had lost more than enough in their casino to cover the cost of four staples. LOL. I had to call a casino host and they sent one to the room with a security guard who waited while I stapled on the luggage tags. Was totally expecting a gold stapler but it was your regular desk variety!

After that odd experience, I purchased the sleeves with the wire connectors (in both sizes, since tags vary by cruise line) and put them on at the airport after arrival or at a pre cruise hotel.

 

They also worked great for my ripping hang tag for parking at work -- put it in the sleeve and it was an easy way to hang it from the mirror.

Check the Cruise Critic "Store: They have plastic luggage tag sleeves for $2.95 each or 4 for $9.50. I've had mine for a while and used them over and over. They're great! :)

Wow that is expensive! Over double the price per tag from what I posted. :eek:

Sorry I don't have a pic, but that is exactly what you do, walk up and tell the porter you need tags. Helps to have a Sharpie with you, but they have pens if you don't bring your own.

We've always just used the standard NCL tags, printed on normal printer paper and folded per the instructions on the tag. In order to prevent a porter mishap, we put two tags on each bag - one on the top handle and one on the bottom handle. Should one fall off, we'll still get our bags. :-)

And do they only mail them out for Haven or is it all suites?

 

They will mail tags for all Suites. Sx and Hx.

 

NOT mini-suites (which are just larger balcony rooms).

 

They will mail tags with a letter providing you access to the pre-concierge and a link to a tailored Suites or Havens Welcome Aboard booklet.

Huh. We're a little over two weeks out in a Sky SB cabin, but no sign of a letter or luggage tags yet. Booked direct with NCL through the website about 18 months ago, so they've had lots of time...
