Day 1

After the craziness of long waits through Embarkation we are finally settled into our room. I do the fastest unpacking ever then hang out outside on the balcony on my twin air mattress while I wait for DH, akaTroy, to return with Internet setup. A very grumpy Troy returns so it's off to the Spa. Ah the heavenly aroma of eucalyptus and the ocean. I relax in the bubblies after I make my first cruise mistake, I drink the detoxifying orange rind water. So for just over an hour I lounge on the bubbly lounger, dip under the super jet rub your shoulders off showers, the relaxing leg and calf massagers, and finally the washing tub muscle release cycle. I will sleep well tonight!!

Then I lay out on the balinese bed of the spa aft balcony. The air is warm, the Disney Wonder and Carnival Magic sparkle in the distance, and the engines rumble below carting us off to sea. Ah, heaven.

I would have dozed off but tummy rumblings tell me it's time to find one of those automatic sucking toilets that try to flush you while you're still on them.

Well I have showered up and once I figure out how to get into my Flickr account, or how to share in boards from instagram, I'll upload some pics!! Off to supper now...

Evening 1

Dinner. We go past the gorgeous atrium and I stop for a quick pic. Along the sides are the dings of the casino machines. We head down the stairs to Taste for dinner. I have the conch fritters, tons of water, and the delicious coconut souffle. Mmmmmmm mmmm.

The ship is really moving now and the water goes whipping by from the smokey glass stained windows. I mention that even my stomach is vibrating is his? Troy grabs his stomach and shakes it. I giggle uncontrollably with embarassment.

Next up I head to my favorite slot machine and - shut the door- what do I see??? Macaroons. I am nearly swooning. The Escape had macaroons and I was sure I would miss it, but here they are, 2 dollars each.

I start playing Clara Ts and what is this? A triple jackpot???? OMG I've just dropped 20 years. I start swaying to the music while I play and win. At the end I have won TWO MACAROONS.

The night is looking good until, I go to trade in the Brut we received. I am sent to 7, yes 7, different places and finally guest services says no. Sniff. I am allergic to Sulfites. One is a gift from NCL, the other is a gift from a fellow cruiser (ordered online). Oh well, a little deflated and I'm missing my Beatles Jam, but I will lay out on the deck and forget all about it. I have a feeling my fellow cruiser will get them to do something or refund them, plus I can always buy my own bottle of something. Baileys? Maybe Plum Wine. :D:D:D

Oh, good start. Be careful, though. Mods don't like the mention of that other site. I had a review pulled once because I mentioned it. SO, just say the social media site, you know what.

Is Taste accessible for those who don't want to use the stairs due to mobility issues ?

Looking forward to the rest.

Day 2

A lovely day visiting Great Stirrup Cay. We had a quick bite to eat at the Buffet and we're off!! We ask if we need photo ID and get different answers, so the organization and services still feels off. We waited over an hour for an extra blanket the night before too, but watched zootopia so it wasn't a big deal.*

On the island it is gorgeous. The water is that beautiful deep blue to pretty aqua. Some tropical trees, and a sprawling horeshoe shaped beach. The water is ice cold so I get myself a yellow float and enjoy bobbing slowly away while the sun beats it's rays of warmth down on me. Awwwww. Others are too cold and don't fully get in the water. I'm from Minnesota, 80s outside is perfect for me. I see a super cute sandcastle ship but cat take a pic because I only have 1 free SD card and it's in my Tablet on the ship. I mentally have a pic and will need to check some out online at home. The water is crystal clear and salty. I can hear the island music but it's not too loud. I wish I was still there.

Back on ship we get another light meal at the Buffet and I listen to... To make my systems blow. Welcome to the new age, to the new age... Just shake it off, shake it off... She, she isn't real, she is isn't going to be able to love you like I will...

I end up in the spa and earn the nickname of sleeping beauty, but that's ok. It is so warm and inviting outside after I relax in the bubblies how can I not drift off???

*No teletubbie snorkeling yet though...
