Early flight on a Monday from FLL

If anyone has departed from a cruise ship on a Monday, do you think it is possible to have a flight as early as 10:40 a.m. out of Fort Lauderdale?

Presuming you are disembarking at Port Everglades, you can make that flight easily. You are only 15 min. from the airport.

Be off the ship by 8:15. And you'll be at the airport before 9. Cab or Uber will do the quick ride.

Yes, we will be departing at Port Everglades. We have experienced the airport on Saturdays and Sundays with all of the other cruise ship passengers disembarking on that day - just wasn't sure how busy the airport would be on a Monday with business travel etc. Thank you.

We have flown out on weekends that early. If you are going to worry, then adjust your disembarking time to an earlier group. We never self carry. But even that is an option.

There is risk here.

You might make it. You might not.

I tend to worry about these things so I wouldn't do it but other who don't get stressed might do it.

The issue is does everything go right or are there problems from ship getting in late, to customs/immigration going slow to you even getting pulled aside by customs.

I wouldn't do it over Boat Show or on a holiday. Probably not in February or March either.

If there are no traffic issues, big accident, public works, etc, you should not have trouble making your flight. I suspect your main worry should be getting off the ship as early as possible and finding your luggage. 8:00am would be great, certainly not later than 9:00. I have flown out of FLL on business Monday mornings. Parking, not TSA, is usually the most time consuming item, you in a taxi, will skip that problem.
