Snorkelling Opportunities

We're on the Journey sailing Jan 6 from Singapore to Hong Kong (first time with Azamara). Snorkelling looks very limited at our ports of call: Koh Samui, Bangkok, Ho Chi Minh City, Da Nang and Halong Bay. However, does anyone have any snorkelling suggestions, if any exist on this itinerary.

We didn't book this voyage for snorkelling but if the opportunity arises.........

I'd suggest you look at the Roll Call for Journey's Dec 10 2016 from Hong Kong to Singapore--- same ports as your voyage. That Roll Call has about 45+ members and has been very active in terms of arranging for private excursions-- you may well find some info there about snorkeling or if not, it will surely give you some good ideas as to what others have arranged for your same ports. By the way, it appears you will be embarking in Singapore Cruise Center Jan 6 (we get off the ship there as you get on-- we're on the Singapore to Singapore Dec 23 sailing) not Marina Bay.

In Singapore you could probably snorkel off one of the beaches on Sentosa Island. Koh Samui has beautiful beaches as well. That's probably it. Halong Bay's beauty is above the water and the others are large industrial ports.

We are on this cruise next year and have done part of the route before with Azamara. We are avid snorkelers but this itinerary does not provide time or spots. Koh Samui would be the best but you have to go off shore to a marine reserve and the short time in port does not allow for this sad to say. For the first time we are leaving equipment home. Hope this helps.
