Cocoa Katz Posted December 6, 2016 #1 Share Posted December 6, 2016 Received a message from Cunard regarding the cancellation of all Turkish ports....very disappointing as this was over 40% of the cruise.:(
easyboy Posted December 6, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 6, 2016 Did they say what the replacement ports are? Sent from my iPad using Forums

philsmum1 Posted December 6, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 6, 2016 The same happened on the corresponding cruise this year. The itinerary changed at least twice before sailing and then again when we were on board. It was referred to as the magical mystery cruise. I'm sure you'll have a marvellous time wherever you go. Adammara Posted December 6, 2016 #5 Share Posted December 6, 2016 In the present world situation, it does not surprise me. The EU and Turkey situation is fragile, and heaven knows what the American foreign policy will be next year.
tv24 Posted December 8, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 8, 2016 We did a land-based trip on our own to Albania a few years ago. While the infrastructure wasn't completely there (bad roads, no train), it was fascinating. From Sarande one can take a tour of the ruins at Butrint, which were extensive and amazing. A tour of hillside town Girocastra was also worthwhile. And Saran has a pretty waterfront for an extensive stroll.
Cocoa Katz Posted December 15, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted December 15, 2016 Thanks for the info...I hadn't done any research on Albania yet, but your suggestions sound good!
