Who won the cocktail competition

Anyone know who won the competition to create and name a cocktail for the new bar on the Dream. I have checked both Thomson FB page as well as the closed FB page as well as posts on here and can't see any mention of a winner

Thomson are still yet to make an announcement on this.

The winner for this will be announced very soon and a winner has been selected by a panel which includes people from Apollo Group and an independent mixologist - I understand the formal announcement will be early 2016.

Very strange though 2 Intense & Heart & Soul play the same? Keith used to be in delo but of course we haven't been since the refurb sounds good

I'm confused too pensionercruiser TooIntense went home in May and werent due back they said for the winter season. The only people who will know for defo are those who've just come back from the Transatlantic cruise. I've never seen Heart and Soul - seen Keith of course - he was on for the last few winter seasons and did the summer on Celebration. Not sure if the band is called Sound Room? if so never seen them either. Of course if the band don't have drum pads like Bong from Strumjam they won't be able to play on deck 10 -shame Is it just one man and a steel drum?

Merry Christmas to you Vitalsign, and everyone, we must have been on the Dream the same time as you, but heart and soul have split up as we saw heart and mind on Celebration in September which included one half!! very complicated. Still think 2 Intense are the best duo we have seen in all the years we have been cruising IMO & sad I know but we have all there cd's and our grandchildren love them😀

2Intense are definitely on the Dream at the moment. They are currently in the new Water's Edge. They left the Dream in July 2015 to return for Maris' daughter's 18th birthday & returned for the Transatlantic in December.

So pleased Maris and Tom are back on the Dream cos they told us they thought they would be on the Celebration when we left them in Palma in May. As you say they are brilliant and they must be cos hubby is a musician and he bought their CDs too and we play them regularly at home.

Sound room do play on deck 10, they play at the sail away party

PS when talking about deck 10 I meant at the back of the ship not the middle

where the band can't set up a drum kit so use electronic pads:)

This is a long gin and elderflower refresher and won the votes in the shortlisting. After the taste test, Thomson and moreover the mixologist plus Apollo refined this creation with a slosh of apple schnapps and by swapping the lemon for lime that just took the edge off a heavy gin base.

So in other words, they already knew exactly what cocktail they were going to add to the menu, and chose the entry that was closest? Then added the bits that were missing. ;-)
