We are on britannia in august and at the moment unable to book the limelight club, So just wondering if there's likely to be a change of stars before then or will kiki dee and jaki graham still be on ? Has anybody seen any other stars in the limelight or indeed booked for anyone else in the future?

We are on a July trip and have booked for Dean Andrews. I can't remember where I read it but I gather he is a good performer. (He's also a yorkshireman so at least I should be able to understand him).

We have booked this early in the cruise so if we like the venue we will hopefully be able to see one of the other people.

We are on this Saturday and the choice was Dean Friedman, Maddeline Bell, Jacki Graham and the one that we have chosen, an Eric and Ernie show that was on stage in the West End last Autumn---really looking forward to it as we intended to go to the Limelight but we weren't that fussed by the singers.

We having been looking forward to booking the limelight club but sadly the eric and ernie show is not on B517 , so we have Jaki graham performing 8 nights ( the first 4 nights, and last four nights ), dean andrews 3 nights , and madeline bell 3 nights.

Any thoughts on those stars would be appreciated , and in your opinion was it worth it and how long did the performance last ?

We saw Madeline bell. She was very good, interacted and walked around through the audience.

We had the starter and main course and Madeline came on for a short set. We then had desert and coffee and then Madeline came back on for the remainder of the evening.

How do you find out who is appearing on Your cruise at the limelight club ?

Go into your cruise personalisor and you should find it about 80 to 90 days before you go

On B511 we saw Madeline Bell and Jaki Graham.

Madeline's Pianist was sick so she played without accompaniment or backing track (she explained she dislikes backing tracks). We enjoyed the show but there was less complete songs than we were expecting. It was short bursts and more like an audience with Madeline.

Overall very talented but we wished she had sung more songs.

Jaki Graham was our favourite night onboard. Playing with her Musical Director Andre they had us captivated.

Loads of fantastic soul classics and some funny interaction with the audience. We even stayed afterwards for a quick chat with Jaki who clearly is enjoying 'Jaki's club'.

Whoever you see it is a great venue, seats are allocated as you arrive.

Just avoid seats blocked by a couple of columns.

Food is good but is not the main reason to go.

It starts at 7.00 and lasts until around 10.30.

We were also two of the "twenty five" people in the audience for Madeline Bell on the Saturday and have to applaud here for doing her act in acapella mode instead of just cancelling the show. Guess as it was the first night of the cruise was the reason it was not well attended but the waiting staff said the second night was fully booked

Have to agree the food was very good but limited to 2 starters, 3 mains and a trio of deserts. I should also add that you can go into the limelight club at 11.00 as a casual punter after the entertainment has finished and that it would an idea to get there early to secure a good table :)

We were on B511 and saw Jaki Graham - she was very entertaining, a real character and clearly loving singing to a small, intimate audience with a piano back up - her voice sounded amazing and we both thoroughly enjoyed her performance - she didn't go walking around people's tables at all - just stayed towards the front of the tables but have to say the food we had that night with the fillet of beef was excellent!

Phil or anyone else please. Could you tell me is it a fixed menu or is there a selection of menus to choose from.

Thanks

Pat

There are 4 menus which are available on the cruise personaliser. They rotate but we did not know which was available before we went.

1 menu per night but enough choice. Everyone has the same trio of desserts.

That answers your question Pat. The answer for the next one is a maximum of 6 and they are positioned on the fringes of the limelight club. Watch out I can read your mind

helpthejuggler thank you for your reply.

Phil , Mohammed e-mailed me and he has invited Scott and myself to spend the day as his guests from 10am -5pm on Sunday onboard the Britannia when she is docked in Greenock. He is on duty therefore unable to leave the ship but instead we are joining him onboard. We have the opportunity to brows around the ship at our leisure and enjoy all of the facilities available. As you know we had already visited the Britanna in May for lunch and an escorted tour which was a whistle stop tour. This time we can brows about on our own at our leisure, needless to say we are very excited. In May whilst onboard I had already made enquiries regarding the seating arrangements for the Limelight Club and happy to say that as there is up till now 16 of us joining Scott and Janice on their birthday, seating arrangements are still to be finalised. Maybe by the time Nov arrives the 'Pinkies' will have taken over the Limelight Club for that evening.

Phil do you know how the booking work ?

If I reserve 6 will I get the 10% off the six bookings even though all might not be on 10% discount ? Otherwise will it be 10% off per booking or % discount according to whatever discount the others will be entitled to ?

Can Scott also reserve 6 places or is it only six per cabin ?

Otherwise can we individually book 6 each overall 12 reservations in total ?

Once you have worked that one out can you let me know 👍 sitting here 😂 away. Just had another thought will ask Mohammed when I see him on Sunday.

Wish you both were joining us. Hopefully we will be joining you next Nov in the Caribbean is it the 11th on Azura. ?

Thanks again Phil for your assistance regarding contacting Mohammed for me.

Regards Pat x:)

Glad that Mohammed got in touch. He said he was going to and knew it was in Greenock that you were meeting up. Can't say that I know the answer to your question, maybe you need to phone P&O. I would think that you can prebook as many spaces as you want as long as you pay up front. Might see you on Azura next year then all being well. Enjoy Britannia, she really is beautiful as you already know
