Transfer onboard credit to another person in cabin?

This is our first cruise on HAL this Saturday and on the other cruiselines all the onboard credit has gone to one person in the cabin (generally whoever booked it). There are 3 of us and we all have our own credit card accounts set up.

So, can the person who has the OBC transfer the credit to the other 2 in the cabin to divy it up equally? This is our first cruise with 3 of us and our first cruise with a sizable OBC.

I don't know the answer (I suspect it can't be done) but wouldn't it be easier to just handle it in cash among yourselves?

One cruise we went to the front desk on the ship and ask that our accounts and therefore obc be combined. They did that so we didnt have to worry about who was paying for drinks etc.

Yes you can. I cruise with my son and we always have seperate charge accounts set up. They do it in multiples of $25.00 if I remember correctly.

And that splits the OBC??

So say the one person has 600 OBC, you go to the desk and ask to transfer out of your account to the other 2 people 200 each and then it is splitted equally.:) Much easier than having to bring cash and dish out

Yeah we did that before also but this way is so much better and no tracking to take care of.

You could settle with those sharing your cabin just before you leave home. Give them their share and leave the OBC in place when you board.

I sailed with 2 girlfriends, 3 of us in the cabin. Guest services divided the OBC by 3 and credited each acct and that was it.
