Royal Suite Class program - Roll Out Date?

Recommended Posts

I saw some others mentioning TAs and OBC. I also get a fair percentage back from my TA in OBC, and because of what I'm paying for my star class Sky Loft, it's a pretty sizable sum. The thing is, star class includes pretty much anything we'd normally spend money on. :)

What will you guys do with your OBC? A few ideas I had:

Cabana in Labadee

Private/Group Flowrider session

Spa day for DW (And maybe nails for DD)

I'm guessing the OBC will be refundable, so could also cash it out at 5% and use at the casino or for gratuities for Genie.

Some things that will be consuming our OBC...

Trip to the Casino

Photo package

Onboard shopping (duty free booze to take home)

Extra tipping (when signing receipt, I normally toss an extra buck on for a drink)

If I'm booked in a Sky Class suite, will I have access to book dinner reservations in CK on the website in advance?

You'll have access to book CK, but not on the website. Form my understanding, no one can book from the website right now, however you can request reservations when the concierge contacts you a few weeks before your cruise.

Edit: Answer appears to be dependent on the ship. On Oasis, no...but others have said they can book ahead for Harmony online.

I have already booked all of our meals in the CK online for our Harmony cruise in August this year.

Really? I had no idea! The past two Oasis cruises I've been on with suites, we couldn't book CK ahead of time. So maybe the answer is a bit more ship specific. Thanks for the correction though!

Got an initial contact from a Genie for our upcoming Oasis sailing (May 7). Also got the Loop email with contact details.

Dear Mr. xxxxx,

Welcome to the Oasis of the Seas,

I am honored that you have selected Royal Caribbean International’s Star Class for your cruise vacation. My name is xxxxxxxx and I am your Royal Genie.

I’m expecting you on xxxxxxx and look forward to meeting you. To that end, would you kindly share with me your expected arrival time? This will allow me to meet you at the cruise terminal in Fort Lauderdale and make your boarding process as seamless as possible.

After escorting you to your suite, I will be delighted to provide you with any assistance you may require, I want to ensure that you experience the best of what Royal Caribbean has to offer. Rest assured that I am able to arrange dinner reservations, spa appointments, shore excursions, reserved show seating and priority access activities throughout your cruise vacation.

I am pleased to offer you many complimentary amenities, such as our VOOM high-speed internet, dining in any of our specialty restaurants, the Ultimate Beverage Package, access to the Suite Lounge and much more. You have an inclusive mini bar as well. Do you have any preferences in what you would like it to be stored with ?

Please do not hesitate to let me know if you have any dietary needs or any other preferences you would like me to be aware of ?

Did you know that 50% of guests onboard are celebrating something? What are you celebrating? And, do you prefer champagne, red or white wine ?

We truly care about our Star Class guests, hence for your convenience and to help with your pre-cruise preparation, I have attached a list of items that should be left at home.

I look forward to making your cruise vacation onboard Oasis of the Seas an unforgettable experience.

Exciting! We haven't received ours yet, but maybe the other genies will be sending out the rest of the May 7th emails here shortly. I could be mistaken but were you in the group that didn't get a survey sent to you? Just wondering since we answered the celebration question in the survey and I see they also asked about it here.

I'm also on the Oasis May 7th and I too did not receive the survey. I did receive the Loop email today but nothing from the Genie yet. Fingers crossed that it will come tomorrow.

Looks like I had accidentally deleted the Loop email with the onslaught of other various advertisement emails, but thankfully since you all said you received it today, I went back and found it!

FYI - if anyone is interested in an extremely amateur cruise review, I will be posting pics and information about star class during our May 7th sailing on twitter. It won't be as great as some of the other reviews I've seen here (ahem..Andrew's periscope), but it will include some cool 360 degree shots of the cabin and suite areas taken with my theta s.

Thank-you for the kind words. I will gladly follow along to see what awaits us in March. We are sailing in CLS this August and November but will jealously watch the Sky Class guests being pampered.

I just followed you, and I will add I like your photo of St Thomas with the sail boats.

Edit: periscopes to come tomorrow but of cars, not cruise ships.

Has anyone on the Oasis May 7th sailing not received any communication from their Royal Genie yet? The only thing I have received is the Loop email. I did send a message on it this morning but haven't received a reply. I realize they are busy now with their current guests so I am trying to be patient but since some on our sailing have already heard from their Genie it makes me wonder why I haven't heard anything.

We also have not gotten anything besides the Loop email. I have not tried to contact them via the messenger since I'm sure they're busy with it being their first week. Hoping to hear something by tomorrow...I'd like to know if I should give our luggage to the porters and a few other logistics. I'll let you know when we get an email, but as some have already gotten theirs, I have a suspicion that we may be sharing the same genie.

Good to know it's not just me, lol. I was thinking the same thing about sharing the same genie. Which suite are you in? We are in the Royal Loft suite.

I read with interest the prohibited list. No mention of water or soda being prohibited. Could this be a change?

Maybe I missed something, but where did you see these were not allowed? I hadn't heard Royal restricted them. Carnival has restricted anything in bottles, even bottled water and soda, but I hadn't heard Royal did.
