obstructed view balcony cabins on Royal

This site will show you actual balcony views on a lot of those cabins.

You will find that some have only "obstruction" if you look down to the water. View that might be blocked by a life boat. Others might have metal braces or equipment, life boats etc. with a little to a lot of blockage. If you spend time researching, you will find some great cabins with very little obstruction. Some of the obstructed views also have the LARGER balconies. ;)

If you look at the deck plans and the location of the life boats you will see some aft and some forward are not obstructed directly by lofe boats.

Aft you need to be from around 700s back.

There have been some decent price drops on a few Royal trips not as low as last year but ok prices.

We were in L110 which is listed as an obstructed balcony. I would not consider it obstructed in any way. The only obstruction is if you are looking forward and down you see the bridge wing. It in no way lessened our enjoyment of the cabin. I would gladly book it again.

Which is why starting next April 22 it will change to a BF (unobstructed) balcony with higher pricing.

A deal that I have been looking at on Royal Princess seems to have obstructed balconies available.

Can anyone tell me what the obstruction would be like?

Mostly lifeboats at floor level as well as some davits/hydraulics etc.
