Rare xpcdoojk Posted July 31, 2015 #10 Share Posted July 31, 2015 Another MINI lover here! Have a Bayswater special edition. Love it - especially around tight curves! Yes, it goes quite fast in a straight liine for such a tiny car, but give me a good mountain road with nice asphalt. Bliss. My wife doesn't think it is quite so special, as a passenger. :D I remember a trip several months after I bought it. We were in Arkansas on some super twisty roads, I came up on a brand new Corvette, say 2003 model, and as soon as I came up on him, he blasted off. By the time we got thru the next several sets of curves I was on his bumper. After about 20 miles of him blasting away on the rare long straight, by the time the next set of curves came there I was again. He and his girlfriend decided they needed to get a slurpee at a gas station. He must have been crushed that his $60,000 car was useless. :D jc
