Canon 77D

Recommended Posts

Note that the 77D has a penta mirror viewfinder.

This is a smaller, dimmer, cheaper alternative to a penta prism viewfinder, like in the 80D. A bright through the lens optical viewfinder is the single reason for SLR cameras.

My current cameras [Olympus, Panasonic] use electronic through the lens viewfinders.

One question is why Canon? Do you have only Canon dealers nearby? Have Canon EF lenses? Friends with Canon stuff that can be borrowed?

I have multiple Canon EF lenses. There would have to be a compelling reason to upgrade from my 60D. One reason would be wireless if I could get a good trade in price on my current body.
