MS Veedam June 2017 - guaranteed ocean view?

Hello :)

My husband and I will be going on a cruise to Bermuda aboard the MS Veedam. This is our first cruise and I am looking for tips. I am wandering if I should book a guaranteed ocean view or book an HH category (these are the same price). Basically I don't care about the obstructed view at all since it really is a view of the walkway (the cruise line sent me a picture) but I don't think I would like to get a porthole view :(. Also, my husband and I have been on smaller boats and never had any motion sickness but, should that be a worry since the HH category are at the front of the ship (it would be cabin either 300-301-302)? Should we juste book one of these directly or take the chance of an upgrade​? Do upgrades​ actually happen or is it really a big gamble?

 

Also any other tips or comment on this boat?
