Canon Camera Choice

Recommended Posts

We currently have a Canon T5i and the OH has outgrown the camera and is looking for greater pixels for better resolution (a lot of photos get trimmed and blown up). We would also like a faster shutter speed to get the f-stop down for better depth of field. That's what I understand his key interests to be.

We are looking at the 80D (just the body). Any thoughts or recommendations?

Hi, I have a 70D but my best friend recently upgraded to the 80D. Lovely camera, has more AF points, better in lower light too. If I'd had the funds I'd have got the 80D. Happy snapping whatever you choose!

It may well be beyond your budget but the 5D is really nice. I have the mark III version and love it. They are up to the Mark IV now and there are also R and RS models that are even more pricey. Full frame, great image quality and I can easily crop to 1/4 of a frame when needed. Also keep in mind that the lenses are just as important so consider investing in better glass before upgrading your body.
