Going to the private island on our breakaway cruise next October. I keep seeing comments or reviews about not stopping there due to rough seas. Seems like it happens a lot

 

Is this fairly common? I would hate to miss it since we are staying on the ship in Florida and that would mean we only get off the ship in the Bahamas. I know it is based on weather but I would hate to see something like 50% of the time

Yes, it is fairly common (perhaps not 50-50 though), especially during the hurricane season as the probability of strong winds is higher than normal.

 

There are members here that have never stepped on GSC even though they have been on several cruises calling there. OTOH, we have never missed it, been there maybe four or five times.
