Civi is a pretty small town, you can walk to it, through it, and back within 90 minutes. There are a couple of sidewalk restaurants, but nothing really stood out. If I recall, there is a small beach, so you could just relax in Civi since you've been to Rome before. You could also check out Forte Michelangelo in Civi.

My wife and I have been to Rome several times in the past. Is it worth all the trouble going into Rome or is this port worth checking out on it's own. Any suggestions?

We have been to and stayed in Civi. It is a seaside town with some nice beaches. It is that straightforward nothing much to see and some shops and restaurants. Nice place but nothing to do other than walk the front and see the market which is quite nice.

We were there this year and the last

The train to Rome now is fast 1 hour from the station or if you get the express 45 mins

Any questions let me know

See the "Not going to Rome" thread.. We did this on our last Epic Cruise 7-4-2016.. Superb day out

We did the Etruscan Necropolis complex at Tarquinia.. Churches and the Museum in Tarquinia.. .. A superb lunch .. Then Lake Bracciano and the Castello Orsini-Odescalchi
