Suggestions from Veteran Crystal cruisers about FLL??

I am reposting hopefully to get some suggestions / recommendations from all of you Crystal Veterans on restaurants in Fort Lauderdale.

We are staying in Fort Lauderdale at Pelican Grand Hotel on North Ocean Blvd between NE 19 st and NE 21 st and are looking for restaurants a short taxi ride away.

This is our first visit in Fort Lauderdale.

We like good seafood, steaks, and Italian. Any suggestions are welcome.

You already have a thread with a number of replies: http://boards.cruisecritic.com/showthread.php?t=2415181. I don't know if they are Crystal Cruisers since I don't even 'see' signature blocks (and not everyone has a signature block - I don't:D) but you have some solid recommendations from Brunello and Blue Herons (and other locals) on that thread. There's also TripAdvisor but then again you won't know if any of the respondents are Crystal Cruisers!
