New promos for NCL

We booked our cruise through a Total Rewards promo in early January. I see now that the NCL promos are better than what we received. I contacted my casino host and she said that we were unable to receive the current promos because we had already booked. We are travelling April 17, 2016. I have read on other threads that people who booked directly through NCL were able to cancel their current booking and then rebook to get all the new offers. Are the rules different for casino guests or is my host just not willing to change our reservation? Has anyone else tried to make changes with a casino host?

I've always been able to change to the new promos through CAS, but only if I hadn't reached the 'final payment' date. If you aren't sure if you got the right information when you called, I would suggest you call back and use the Miami main office CAS number at 877-752-9625. This is a Monday to Friday 9am to 5am number. The agents at this number are very knowledgeable.

My moms friend just did this yesterday, she originally had the soda plan (it was a resorts AC casino inside room comp). Her fare (now called admin fee) went up $15.00 pp. her grandsons soda tip went up $1.75 and her soda (now UBP) tips went up $78.00.

All in all she paid an extra $113.00 to gain $100 in slot play and the UBP for herself (grandson is only 19 so he does not qualify for UBP).

She called the 1-888-785-8259 number for CAS (they are open on weekends 10:30-7:00 eastern time).

Her final payment date wasn't until March 15th.

Good luck.

You're inside the final booking period (75 days) so if you cancel your first reservation, you will lose your deposit. https://www.ncl.com/about/cancellation-fee-schedule

If you've used a certificate, any changes or cancellation made after the reservation "may result in forfeit of certificate." https://www.ncl.com/certificate

We also booked in January through Total Rewards. I called when NCL offered the pick 2 promo. My casino host said I could change the booking and get the pick 2 promo, but then came back and said the system said we didn't qualify because our certificate was for an inside cabin. I found it odd because when I made the original booking, I upgraded to the balcony and at that time the host said by upgrading I was entitled to the pick 1 promo going on at that time for any cabins OV or higher.

I have been booking 4 or 5 cruises per year through CAS and the promos I have been eligible for have always been based on what my original offered cabin has been. Sometimes you get a 'rookie' on the phone who just doesn't understand how it works. You can always ask them to check with a supervisor. I have found that the people at CAS will usually try and help you to the best deal and cabin for you. If you get someone who doesn't seem helpful, call back.
