Queen Victoria balconies

I am choosing a balcony cabin and am thinking to go toward the aft of Deck 7.

Can anyone tell me if this is a good location and in particular are these balconies exposed to the sky above, or covered by the balcony on the next deck up? I am keen to get some shade and privacy so am hoping for the latter

Thanks for any advice

The deck 7 balconies are covered by the deck 8 ones. The aft BD category staterooms should give you privacy (nobody can look on to your balcony from other parts of the ship). You may hear more engine noise towards the stern of the ship.

We've chosen that location on QE & QV. Good location for shade & privacy. We have had the farthest aft cabins on deck 7 & did not experience any engine noise on either ship. Tend to go for the corner balconies if we can, but deck 7 aft would be our next choice every time.

Only problem with the corner balconies is that you can see quite a few balconies and they can see you. Not the best choice if you want privacy.

Here is a view of the corner balconies.

Would it be accurate to say?:

The corner balcony cabins have both more interior space and more balcony space, but they have less privacy while on the balcony.

The non-corner balcony cabins have a bit less interior AND balcony space but have good privacy.
