In the yacht club is there a elevator just for the yacht club? Are mocktails available in the yachtclub?when you go to a show in the theather is there seating for the yacht club or do you sit anywhere? Does the butler escort you off the ship for shore excurtions ?

On my sailing on Divina there were two lifts which gave priority to the YC. you had to insert your card into a slot and then your choice overrides any other passenger (non YC) button press. Your butler with show you how it works.

the slot for your card

On Splendida last week there was one eleveator lable "priority service yacht club" which could only be called by putting in your YC card---but people ignored what it said (or did not understand--seemed about 50/50) and got on too and it stopped everywhere. You had to put in your card to get it to go to level 15 or 16 (YC only) but if someone pushed a button after you did it cancelled YOUR button out to and went to whereever they pushed and often then directly back down--it was actually harder to get an elevator to YC than any other place in the ship--a few of us commented on that while waiting and waiting and going back down together---would have been so much nicer to have just normal service.

Mocktails--yes, there were serveal in the YC. Mojito zeros were me favourite. My son prefered those and the forzen strawberry daquari zeros.

No reserved seating in the theatre on Splendida.

This is the most comprehensive explanation of the Yacht Club lift situation I've seen, so thank you for that!

I suspect that we, like you, will find the YC lift a bit awkward and not actually the benefit it's supposed to be. A shame if a 'normal' lift would be more efficient though!

What is a mojito zero? Zero alcohol or zero calories?

We found the easiest way to get to our room or the lounge was to take a normal lift to level 14 and walk up the last flight or two. Better for the waistline as well ;)

The butler will escort you off the gangway for excursions.. The butler also will escort you to the gangway on debarkation. He also will escort you any where on the ship if you want him to take you. Tell the butler or the conceirge what you want and it will happen. :)

Just off the Divina earlier this month and the Yacht Club elevator experience was almost embarrassing.

Leaving the Casino, we approached the elevators as a group entered, waiting for it to leave before requesting ours. Yacht Club card in slot and press the UP button, and the elevator that had just left and gone up two floors stopped and came back to get us. When the door opened, those inside were confused.

Hit 15 and we took off. As we bypassed each floor that had been selected, the display said Blocked or Locked (don't remember) and it took us non-stop back to the Yacht Club. Others were now even more confused.

It was even more embarrassing when they used to have the announcement "This elevator is needed for an emergency" and requested people to leave the elevator when you used the YC card in the slot! It seems it was the same over-ride system that was used for emergency situations LOL

Then all those people can get off and walk around the YC, right?
