We are booked on the Magic in April and may have to switch to October 22 for a Western Caribbean cruise. Any info on the weather on the islands would be appreciated. We have never cruised in the fall. Thanks for the help!!

The water can get a little rough in October, but unless there are storms moving through it's not too different than April. The water could be just a little cool around PC, but should feel really good during the rest of your cruise. You will still find it hot in the South but about the same as April for land excursions.

If you check the weather on the islands it will most likely say it will be in the 80s-90s every day with a 20-80% chance of rain. We have seen rain on many days but only got wet a few times, and usually sunny again within 30-60 minutes.

The water will be warmer in oct vs April maybe not so much may. We have cruised many times in October and love that time of year. Just be prepared for itinerary changes due to tropical storms and hurricanes.

October is my favorite month to cruise.

The Caribbean ocean temps were warmer due to the summer ocean currents. Ports were hot and sunny. We've only experienced one hurricane that caused our itinerary to change. The weather at the new ports was spectacular!

HURRICANE!! Besides that, lightning, thunder, and/or whatever thunderstorms God can throw at us. Or it might me pleasant as a peach. Ships try to avoid nasty weather. On a positive note, it probably will not snow so you should be okay cruising., Hopefully your flights will not be delayed due to ice or blizzards :)
