where was the champagne?!!

I just returned from a wonderful week on SDII (our third cruise with them), but was a bit disappointed that their signature champagne and caviar splash no longer features champagne! They have substituted a French sparkling wine that they are definitely pushing over the complimentary champagne, Jacques Rocquart. Four times during the week I asked for champagne, but was served the sparkler instead. I never had this problem on our other SD cruises.

In the big scheme not much to complain about, but if you want real champagne you might want to watch closely what they serve you. And Sea Dream either needs to start serving champagne at the splash or change the name to "sparkling wine and caviar splash"!!

Methinks it's no coincidence that the event is now marketed as the "Caviar Splash"....
