Salalah Internet locations?

All international hotels have Wi-Fi and/or a business centre. Wi-Fi is normally free when you purchase a refreshment in the coffee shop. (or be cheeky and sit in the lobby). Closest to the port is the Hilton. Still a taxi ride away.

There is a Costa Coffee at the new airport with free Wi-Fi. A decent coffee shop called "Browniz" also near-ish the airport.

There is a beach club of sorts very near the port, called The Oasis Club.

Pretty decent place for lunch. It is a private members club, but they are welcoming to walk-ins. They have a facebook site, OasisClubSalalah.

They are very likely to have WiFi available.

Buchhalm, this is where we went for our internet fix. It was near the port, just turn left and go up the hill, very easy. I bought some sodas (0.4 RO each, about $1, very reasonable) and got online for an hour. Thank you for the advance notice. Lunch sounded good but was pricey, so we just had our internet fix and went back to the ship for lunch and a "docked sea day".

Save the money and avoid the taxi.

It can be very difficult to negotiate a reasonable taxi fare there. I would not waste the time.

What you will pay in taxi fare you can just stay on the ship and pay for the internet.

You weren't kidding. Salalah taxis were very expensive. Very few people we talked to actually went into town after the taxi stand experience. This is a port where if you want to see things, a ship excursion is the way to go.
