Onboard medical treatment

If for some reason it occurs that you need medical treatment onboard your cruise--- are any of the insurance plans acceptable to the medical clinic upfront---- or do you always have to pay for it yourself and then get reimbursed. Are there any options(insurance directly from the cruise line,,, or from other companies?). What would happen if you had to pay right then, and somehow you couldn't-- what happens? Opinions on best company for best coverage??!!

If the reason for the visit is due to something caused by the ship (slip and fall, noro virus) there will probably be no charge.

Otherwise, YOU pay for the service then file for reimbursement through you personal or travel insurance provider.

Don't worry about not being able to pay,,, they automatically bill your onboard account.

Now, at the end of the cruise, if you can't pay your on board account,,,, you will not be let off the ship until some type of financial reimbursement can be guaranteed.

You will have to pay. As mentioned it is charged to your ship board account and you are given a bill for the visit(s) which you can submit when you arrive back home and file the claim.
