I am surprised my number was on the list, don't remember the cruise calls, they got forgotten amidst all the calls from auto warranty companies, Rachel at card services, and office seekers.

There is no number to call. You have to follow the link at the end of the OP's post and enter your phone number to see if it is on their call list and therefore are eligible for the class action suit. If it is you will be linked to a form to submit for a claim. If your number is not on the list, then you have no claim.

To my surprise a cell phone number of ours is on the list. Curious now to see what happens with our submitted claim!

None of our numbers were on the list. I get 'free cruise' calls often, I guess not from this company.

I saw this earlier today on our new stations list and sure enough my number was on the list. So forms filed and I will file 3 claims as it says you can.. Not holding out that I will receive anything .

Not interested to give out any info...free offer or not.

The Miami Herald's link goes to a web site owned by "Gilardi & Co" of San Rafael, CA. They administer class action claims for law firms. A search shows very poor consumer reviews for that company. The complaints allege that they fail to respond to claimants and let the time period to claim time out and expire.

In general these large class action settlements are sometimes referred to as "coupon settlements". All the supposedly harmed consumers get out of it is a discount coupon to be used for more of the same crappy product or service. The law firm however gets millions of cash dollars in professional fees.

With the state of news journalism today perhaps I should not be surprised that a major newspaper would lead their readers to believe that they could get $300-$900 just for receiving telephone calls that they didn't want. If I got the lower amount for every robo caller that harassed me I'd be living very nicely.
