Embarkation Lunch ?

Our 1st river cruise is next Friday on the AMA Dolce. We are staying at a B&B in Bordeaux for a few days before the cruise starts. We have to check out there at 11am. Our AMA docs say check in is at 3pm. I think we can take our luggage onboard much earlier...we plan to check out of B&B at 11 and go directly to the boat and store our luggage there but I don't know if lunch will be provided on the boat. Do they have lunch on board for passengers arriving that day? Thanks.

Don't know for sure about AMA, but suspect they will have a light lunch available for you as well as for those who are disembarking that day, but have late flights.

We have travelled with other cruise companies and they do provide a light meal in the lounge. Enough to take the edge off, for sure! The bar will be open :)

LTC, yes, there is a light lunch in the lounge. They will have a place to store your luggage before it is taken to your room and you can enjoy the lounge until it is time to check in.

Enjoy your trip. AMA is a great cruise line.

We were recently on the AmaSonata, arriving directly from the airport. We were directed to the lounge for a light lunch, and told our cabin would be ready shortly. Sure enough within an hour of arrival we were directed to our cabin and the bags were already in the room.

Ditto to all of that. We normally arrive early, drop bags and head into whatever town we are docked in until the rooms are ready at 3pm.
