Sailaway Party?

Do Fred Olsen have Sailaway Deck Parties on their summer cruises & if so how often usually?

They are not as common as on some other cruise lines and you will often find that sailing times are in the evening or during meal times, but when they are at a suitable time and the weather/ view warrants it, then yes, they do happen.

Unlike some lines, when they do happen they are not treated as an opportunity to sell 'souvenir glasses' or anything else for that matter, if the staff are offering around trays of drinks they will be free.

We have just returned from a Baltic cruise on Balmoral and there were several sailaway deck parties, I love them, nothing beats sitting out in the sun enjoying a drink while the band plays as the ship moves off, especially as happened a couple of times when there is another massive cruise ship just ahead of us with people looking enviously across at the FO crowd having a great time on our 'little ship' 🌞
