Can You Get a Massage with a Fused Neck?

I had a 3-layer discectomy a few years ago and I'm wondering about the idea of signing up for massages in the Spa. Do the therapists know how to deal with something like that? Is it something they run into?

They give you a form to fill out prior to the first massage that asks your medical history. If there is any concern about the neck, they would just not touch that area but could work on everything else. I had a fractured shoulder and surgery for that 3 days before a cruise on Regent. The only way I survived was with massages every other day by the excellent masseuse who also happened to have been a physical therapist in Croatia. He was able to really help with the swelling in my hand and forearm and work on the muscle spasms in my back while avoiding the operative site.
