Tahiti question

We will be stopping in Tahiti on a cruise in September and was wondering if there are people standing there offering passengers tours and such? There is a Jeep safari tour that goes to some waterfalls that we want to go on but the tours leave to early. Wondering if we can rent our own driver for the day.

Not many vendors hanging out at the docks in Tahiti.

You can hire a driver for the day but it is expensive and if you are I would hire one ahead of time and come up with a predetermined price. If your wanting to go to the waterfalls it really does take a 4X4, especially if it's been raining.
