Parking at New Orleans port

Ive seen where several people have parked at Fulton Garage for $9/day and they shuttle you to and from the port. But I know there is parking at the port but don't know the costs. Can someone help me with the cost of parking at the port and which one you prefer or would be safest for your car? Thanks for the input!!:)

The port parking is (or was) $17/day. It is convenient but more costly than Fulton St.
