Express Man Posted August 4, 2015 #1 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Question, Not been to this port. Is this like most ports with 9am entry time and park at port and trams running thru lots picking people up. Or is this terminal different. Just looking for what to expect as this is last minute cruise and looking to mark this off check list. Thanks for any info. cflips7 Posted August 4, 2015 #2 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Was just at Fort Lauderdale in April. Each pier seems to have it's own parking garage, so you are within walking distance. It is a little expensive, but quick and no issues.
Rare lazydayz Posted August 4, 2015 #3 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Try Park n Go. Half the price and very convenient.
Gabby229 Posted August 4, 2015 #4 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Try Park n Go. Half the price and very convenient. Will be going to this port in September. What is park n go? Would we need to catch a taxi? Thanks
Namelocg Posted August 4, 2015 #5 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Park N Go is off site parking that is cheaper than parking at the port. They have free shuttle service to and from the port. You can book ahead of time on line.
DanJ Posted August 4, 2015 #6 Share Posted August 4, 2015 There are no shuttles running between parking and terminals at Port Everglades, however most parking is within easy walk to each terminal. When you enter the port, there will be signs directing you to where your ship is (posting here, most of us can probably tell you where it will be and what the parking situation will be). Park N Go is an offsite parking facility right outside the port entrance at the end of I-595. They are quite a bit cheaper than port parking and have shuttle buses that pick you up at your car and take you to the terminal, and back again. Very highly reviewed on here. foflocruiser Posted August 4, 2015 #7 Share Posted August 4, 2015 (edited) Leaving Monday...as in Carnival Conquest? The Midport Garage opens at 6:00AM, the terminal is across the street. No shuttle necessary. Worth the $15.00 a day. It's covered and secured parking. Off-site remote lots are usually open surface lots...it's rainy/storm/hail season in Florida. rtap23 Posted August 4, 2015 #8 Share Posted August 4, 2015 Try park by the ports. They are even cheaper then park n go. Great shuttle service also.

(leaving Monday) I have not seen any trams picking up people at any port that we have sailed from in Florida. There is a security check point when you drive into the port. Your car is stopped and you have to show ID and boarding passes to security before driving in.
