Tahitian Dance Shows

Recommended Posts

We will be cruising on the Solstice next year and will be docked at Papeete from 10.00am until 12.00 midnight.

Does anyone have ideas of what we can do in the evening? I am wondering if there are any place near the ship that have a Tahitian Dance show.

The ship doesn't seem to offer anything.

In my experience the best show we saw was the show on board our ship.

We went to the dinner/dance show at the ICMoorea and it was not at good as the ship and very expensive. There is a show at the ICTahiti (15min taxi from dock) only on certain nights, check their website.

The is a good show most nites at the TikiVillage on Moorea. You can choose to only pay for the show-excluding dinner. PPT has Roulottes (food trucks) in walking distance to the ship. Lively atmosphere, good inexpensive food choices.

I don't know if the Celebrity Solstice does arrange an onboard dance show.

Can anyone fill me in on this?

We are not staying in Moorea late enough to do a dance show there.

We did the same itinerary as you but in reverse last November. There were definitely Tahitian dance shows on board the Solstice as well as lessons during the cruise and even a Maori greeting given when we arrived in NZ. :-)

  • 3 weeks later...

We also saw a good local dance group do a show on our ship. I recall on one of the Anthony Bourdain shows that there were alot of good local street food venders near the dock at night.
