The stop is very obvious getting off the ship (you may have to walk a bit, but you can't miss it, big white tent). But the other stop is pretty hard to find, so make a mental note when you get off the shuttle, or save the location to your phone. It's the little green dot on this map, labelled "Navettes croisières" (cruise shuttles):

Just as Hawkeyetlse says, the stop is covered by a white sail. We were on the Spirit which was docked about a 3 min walk away. You exit and enter the port through a gate onto the main pavement. As suggested, have a look at where it is. You exit next to a large shopping centre. Very easy to find!

Just back from western Med cruise. The free shuttle was running on Monday when we were there but we were ages waiting for it to come. The signs for finding it are very poor. The green line is easy to find but is in all directions so we didn't know whether to go right or left. The timetable doesn't give exact times but says every 20 minutes. We were waiting 40 minutes for shuttle to come. It is retty quick to get to Joliette then. You have about a ten minute walk to Vieux Port from there. Taking the shuttle back to port was easier. It pulled up just as i arrived at the stop in Joliette. It was delayed getting back however as a massive yacht was coming into harbour and the bridge road had to lift up to allow yacht access. We were stuck for 10-15 mins while this was going on. Shuttle stop was a good ten minute walk from our ship. It is a double accordion type bus however so plenty of space on it.

Note that it can be a bit of a walk from the port (10-15 minutes). If you have mobility issues, it might be best to go with the cruise shuttle. We took the free shuttle and saved 30 versus the cruise shuttle; the savings were worth hearing my wife complain about the distance for the 10-15 minutes. :')

Can anyone provide an update or confirmation of the availability of the free shuttle at the Marseille Provence Cruise Center (Gate 4)?  If anyone has, or can get, a current picture or schedule it would be appreciated.  Evidently it wasn't in daily operation at some past time...

Also interested to know if taxis are available at this terminal.

We sailed on MSC Davina which stopped in Marseilles last week. The ship was charging $30 for their shuttle so we decided we would take a taxi. MSC disembarks passengers at every European port so the queue for taxis Wes quite long. One of the security people reminded me about the free shuttle which seemed like a long walk from the ship. We waited a while for the bus to return and then we’re packed like sardines for the 20 minute ride into town. All in all it took us 2 hours just to get into the city which didn’t leave us much time to explore. We caught a shared taxi to get back for under 15 euro.

So the taxis were limited availability but were shipside, on the dock?

We took the free shuttle back in November. We found the money saved not worth it. We docked at the farthest terminal from the shuttle stop so it was a rather lengthy walk. It would’ve been fine but it was a rainy and rather chilly day. There were also 2 other ships in port. When we got to the shuttle stop, the line was lengthy. It looked like the line for a popular Disney ride and it spilled outside of the covered section. We had to wait almost an hour since the first two shuttles filled up before we could finally get on the third one. We saw several people give up and walk away beyond the port’s entrance where thy could board a regular bus or hail a taxi.  Needless to say, we took a taxi back to port.

I wouldn’t say they were very limited but the queue for them was quite large with disembarking pax with luggage mixed with those of us on the port call.

How close/far from the gangway was the taxi queue?

The port map shows taxi locations outside of Terminals A and B, is that fairly accurate?

Hoping anyone was able to use Marseilles port shuttle in 2022. Any mentions of it appear to be gone from the port website.

Wondering the same thing.  Anyone know?

Also, where does the shuttle go (or did it used to go, if its no longer an option)?
