Nice beach near port recommendations

Any suggestions on a nice clean beach that would be near the port (cruising ncl), or not far from. We don't need total peace and quiet as we enjoy people watching, but are looking for something safe and easy to get to, and with a nice beach with water we can swim and/or snorkel in. Suggestions? I'm really having a hard time of understanding all of the different beach options here and it seems a lot of visits require booking through the cruise line and there is currently only one excursion offered for this port so I'm not finding a lot of information. TIA!

Just to add, do note that neither of these place, nor most beaches on Roatan, are close to Coxen Hole, where you dock. Given the tendency for taxi fares to vary and a slowness and roundabout journey via the jitney buses. Beachers or Bananrama day passes are great bargains.

We had a wonderful day at Beacher's in April. We booked online for $45 per person, this was for transportation, chair, umbrella and a welcome drink. We were met at the port by Emil, and driven to West Bay Beach. Here we had a wonderful day, soaking up the sun and enjoying a great beach. David took good care of us, bringing drinks all day long. The food we had was really good. When we were ready to go back to the ship, Emil picked us up again and took us back. We would highly recommend Beacher's for a great beach experience.

Just got back from Roatan. Spent Thursday at West Bay Beach -- Infinity Bay Resort. Day pass was $17 per person and it was worth every penny. The facilities, the beach location, the service, the pool, and the chairs/umbrella were top notch.

$17 is a bit higher than some of the other spots on the beach but Infinity both had a pool and the boat free reef snorkeling.

One need only sort out transport, which can be high. :0)

That is correct. We used Rony Tours again, as always, and had a great time there.

We went to Bananarama through Rony back in Sept and it was a bit of a hike to the wall for snorkeling plus the boats all out front. Infinity Bay was perfect.

Before that, we did Fosters and that was a real hike but we just bar hopped all the way back from the wall. LOL!
