Silversea sponsor PGA Senior Golf Championship at Foxhills

I was lucky enough to be invited to the pro-am for the Senior Championship today. There are 10 professionals playing and thirty guests in a four man(/woman!) team. Then we will enjoy a supper in the magnificent Foxhills Club House.

57 varieties is attending the Senior PGA Professional Championship at Fox Hills. The KichenAid Senior PGA Championship is being held May 25- May 28 at the Trump National Golf Club. :)

Hello Mysty and Myster! Yes, this is the UK PGA seniors and the pro am was very enjoyable. Silversea are sponsoring the tournament for a second year and only 10 pros played with 30 guests yesterday. The competition proper starts today (sadly in torrential rain) with two rounds for 240 entrants Wednesday and Thursday and a cut for 50 players on Friday.

Silversea and the the UK Commercial Director Lisa McAuley were excellent hosts.

Sounds like you had a great time 57 varieties! Did you get to play? If so, who was your lucky partner? :)

I assume that SS is doing this in some way to compensate for the removal of the golf net from the back of deck 9 on the Whisper.

Yes Mysty I played with the winner from two years ago, a gentleman from Carnoustie called Fraser Mann. The other two members of our team were two Silversea regulars we met on the Amazon cruise about 3 years ago. Sadly the team score wasn't great but I have a delicious bottle of Rioja for winning the Ladies' longest drive.

That's awesome 57! Congrats on the Ladies' longest drive! Myster loves golf and I am struggling to learn the game. Currently I am only going to the driving range and my "drives" are more like "ambles". I can barely get 100 yards!
