The concierge holds a few tickets. The things you can do are to keep checking on line--it is a costly event and people sometimes rethink their choices and cancel, making on line tickets available. Let the Port Adventures desk know that you are interested on embarkation day--that way, if anyone wants to cancel their tickets can be "resold" to you and they will get a refund. And finally, if those tickets that the concierge holds are not used, they will be routed your way.

 

It is sometimes a matter of getting a cooperative person at the Port Adventures desk...some just say "no," and that's that. The nicer ones will at least make note of your hopes even if they think it is unlikely. But then, there could always be families ahead of you on their list.
