Visiting from a Cruiseship

Coming to Tortola for the second time.

I think last time we got on a bus to a local beach....maybe Cockleshell Beach? It was fine and the scenery on the way was great. But I have read that there are much nicer beaches to visit?

Looking to try another beach this time....for a change.

What beaches are easily reachable from the Cruise Terminal?

I just can't remember from our last visit what is available from the port either taxis or tour buses?

Any advice appreciated

If the beach you went to had several beach bars/restaurants and was a larger bay it was Cane Garden Bay, that's where most day visitors go. Would suggest Brewers Bay fr another beach, smaller and one beach bar but a beautiful beach and you can also snorkel there.

If you want other ideas and have at least 8 hrs in port use the search function here and search for posts about Long Bay (West End) and Marina Cay, Marina Cay is a very nice day away from the crowds.

I think you might have been thinking about St Kitts, where there's a Cockleshell Beach (unless they have one here and I haven't heard about it).

Cocklesheel Beach/Bay is indeed on St Kitts, there is not one on Tortola with the same name.

Cane Garden Bay has several beach bars/restaurants and a boat/water toy rental place.
