BlackJack2 Posted January 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted January 21, 2017 In Singapore - Can anyone recommend a good place to purchase a couple bottles of wine? We are embarking in Singapore and would like to take our one bottle onboard for our cabin.
Divi Posted January 22, 2017 #2 Share Posted January 22, 2017 This must be a tricky question. Can't believe no one has experience with this.
ninefishes Posted January 22, 2017 #3 Share Posted January 22, 2017 If you fly into Singapore, then buy duty free at airport. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
sfocruiser Posted January 22, 2017 #4 Share Posted January 22, 2017 We departed a couple of times out of the Singapore Cruise Centre. That has a nice mall attached and we were able to find some reasonably priced wine (for Singapore) Sent from my iPad using Forums
Flatbush Flyer Posted January 22, 2017 #5 Share Posted January 22, 2017 If you fly into Singapore, then buy duty free at airport. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app airport "duty free" is a monster ripoff. Do your homework and find a reasonable wine seller. ninefishes Posted January 22, 2017 #6 Share Posted January 22, 2017 I used to live in Singapore for several years, I remember the duty free at Changi airport was much cheaper than shops inside the city. Of course it may have changed now - I left there 15 years ago. Sent from my iPhone using Forums mobile app
SilvertoGold Posted January 23, 2017 #7 Share Posted January 23, 2017 As noted, the mall attached to the cruise ship terminal has shops and the grocery store there has serviceable wine. We remember it being reasonably priced.

rogerd99 Posted January 23, 2017 #9 Share Posted January 23, 2017 Wine in Singapore is pretty expensive, with high taxes. Wine at the Duty Free store is much the same as at an NTUC supermarket in the city. I can't imagine it is worth the effort to buy on land.
luv2cruisenz Posted January 23, 2017 #10 Share Posted January 23, 2017 I bought wine in a department store, they had a food shop in the lower level, or find a supermarket. But it is expensive in Singapore, plus there's a 17% sales tax I think from memory. It's not really worth it in my opinion but you can check it out at least before boarding and decide for yourself.
