Live music and dancing

Is there normally a band onboard and is there dancing every night?

There is a very good orchestra on board and they usually provide dance opportunities before the nightly shows. Most of the dancing occurs each night in the Living Room with the music provided by the DJ.

Thanks. I will miss the live band, for sure, but am looking forward to seeing what Azamara has to offer.

There are usually opportunities to take dancing lessons with the professional dancers onboard too. If you have the wonderful Sasha and Dima then you are in for a treat. They are presently on Quest.

There's also dancing with the band poolside on White Night and the band usually do one evening up in the Looking Glass

They also play at the 8:15 show for dancing on the evening when the cruise director does his solo show.

The band will also be at the Jazz Brunch in the dining room playing live music.

I hope that the music is maintained at a reasonable and safe level : last year, I became almost deaf on Celebrity!

I am wondering from your reply if there are two shows each evening as opposed to the one show which we have been used to on Oceania. Many thanks. We are very much looking forward to our first Azamara cruise later this year.

It very much depends on the cruise director and the performer, sometimes it is one and sometimes two. Also Bills generic reply (post 2) is probably the most correct if we are being purist as it all depends whether there is one or two shows when dancing takes place. Our last cruise the dancing with the orchestra was at 21.15 when there were two shows. The first show was at 20.00 and the second at 21.45. If there was only one show it was at 21.30.

They really try and balance show times with things like port times as well so there is no hard and fast rule.
